FibriCheck Health is a module in the FibriCheck app that can give you extra information about your heart health. It’s available for Essential, Premium and Free Trial users.
This extra information can be unlocked by taking regular measurements:
- Heart age is shown after your fifth measurement.
It needs a few results before it can meaningfully say whether your heart is behaving younger or older than you actually are. - Morning HRV is built around a simple daily habit: measure sometime between 5 and 10 AM, and you'll start building a real trend line instead of a single data point.
- HRV-CV is unlocked when you measure every morning for a week (at least five mornings within a seven-day window) and FibriCheck can show you not just what your HRV is, but how steady it's been.
- Resting heart rate only appears when you've logged your measurement as taken while sitting or sleeping.
None of these numbers are pass/fail grades. They're not telling you that you're sick or well. They're giving you a mirror you didn't have before, one that gets sharper the more you use it.
The FibriCheck Health metrics
Heart rhythm variability (HRV)
Heart rate variability is the small variation in time between each heartbeat. More variation generally means your body is adapting well to stress, sleep, or activity. It's a live read on how your heart is coping with daily stress, in all its forms and is one of the clearest signals of how your heart is doing today.
To get the most reliable HRV result, it’s best to take a measurement between 5AM and 10 AM, ideally right after you wake up and before you’ve had coffee or started moving.
Every day, we'll ask a few quick questions about sleep, alcohol, exercise, and how you're feeling. This way, you can see how your activities and habits connect to your HRV.
Heart age
Once you completed 5 measurements, your heart age is unlocked. It shows an estimate of how your heart is doing compared to your biological age. This number is built from your measurements and HRV, and shaped by your daily habits. It's a wellness indicator, not a medical diagnosis.
Better sleep, regular movement, less stress, and consistent morning measurements. They all show up in your heart age over time.
Your heart age updates as you keep measuring, and your habits change. It shifts gradually, not overnight. Checking in regularly shows you what's working, and gives you an early, motivating signal to keep going.
Resting heart rate
Resting heart rate is how many times your heart beats per minute, when you're fully at rest. It reflects how efficiently your heart works.
A lower resting heart rate generally means your heart doesn't have to work as hard to keep a steady beat. This is a sign of better cardiovascular fitness.
Your resting heart rate is only calculated when you log sitting or sleeping as your activity, so it reflects a genuine baseline, not a reading affected by movement.
Unlike HRV, resting heart rate typically shifts slowly, over weeks, not days. Keeping track of it over time shows whether your fitness is genuinely improving.
